MN350 Pipeline Resistance Team
As tar sands oil prices continue to plummet, it’s clear that we need to stop the Line 3 pipeline to protect our climate, our water, and our communities from crisis. You can help make sure Enbridge never gets the permits they need.
Right now, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) has the power to deny three key Line 3 permits. The MPCA was also planning public hearings, but chose to switch to telephone town halls due to COVID-19. The agency also extended the deadline for written public comments by one week to April 10. Join us in telling the MPCA why they need to deny these Line 3 permits.
Share your testimony in a telephone town hall
The MPCA is hosting three 90-minute telephone town hall meetings to hear public input on the Line 3 permits. You can call in to give a public comment (up to two minutes long) and listen to others give their comments. The last of the three meetings is 10 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 9.
To join the telephone town halls, dial 855-731-4613 at the start time and follow the instructions. See the fact sheet with talking points from our friends at Science for the People to help you craft your comment. We encourage everyone to testify.
Make your voice heard
The public comment period is open now through April 10.
This is our chance to make sure the MPCA hears us when we say that Line 3 would be a disaster for Minnesota. If we can get the MPCA to deny these permits, we will have achieved a major win for our movement!
