Support MN350 for Earth Day

Earth Day Musical Guest

David Huckfelt

When the world’s on fire and the seeds of division are sown throughout the land, music and ceremony have always held a sacred space for healing and renewal. Room Enough, Time Enough, only the second full-length solo record from singer-lyricist & folk activist David Huckfelt of The Pines, is a record about restoring balance: space and attention, peace and equality, redeeming the marginalized, and remembering the forgotten. It’s a new expression of the ancient ritual and power of songs to weave a web of resilience and protection over our land, our loves, and our resistance, from a songwriter whose new solo endeavor is a present-moment plea for connection and compassion.

David Huckfelt is a midwestern folksinger who has been involved in the increasingly desperate fight to stop the construction of Line 3, a tar-sands pipeline that would cut across Minnesota. His new single, “Book of Life,” is dedicated to “the Indigenous water protectors standing up and speaking out for Mother Earth all across Turtle Island.”

Event Partnerships

SSt. Paul Parks & Recreation has many outdoor spaces for people to recreate & connect with nature whether just for enjoyment, to educate yourself or others, help clean, maintain & plant for the future and so much more.

Mission

To make Saint Paul a city that works for all of us, Saint Paul Parks and Recreation will facilitate the creation of active lifestyles, vibrant places and a vital environment.

“When people are able to connect to nature in ways that are meaningful and accessible, they connect to themselves, one another, and the natural environment on a deeper and more intimate level. The stronger our connection, the more likely we are to take care of ourselves, one another, and the natural environment.”

Saint Paul Parks and Recreation is also the proud home of Right Track, a youth employment initiative changing the face of Saint Paul.

Mission

MN350 unites Minnesotans with the global movement to end the pollution damaging our climate, speed the transition to clean energy, and create a just and healthy future for all.

MN350 is a grassroots organization driven by the power of collective action. Our core teams are working to advance climate justice across Minnesota: Clean Transportation, pushing for clean vehicles in our communities; Food Justice, building a regenerative and inclusive food system; Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives (MMIR), centering Indigenous leadership and protecting our people and land; Policy Action, ensuring climate justice is a priority at every level of government; and Transit Justice, working toward a transit system that is accessible and equitable for all.

This Earth Day, MN350 and Saint Paul Parks and Recreation are bringing communities together to raise awareness, demand action, and celebrate progress toward a more sustainable future. Through community organizing, advocacy, and direct action, we are building a future where Minnesota leads the way in climate solutions that work for everyone.
