Grandmothers travel to Minnesota to help #StopLine3

Grandmothers from across the country traveled to Northern Minnesota this week to express opposition to the Line 3 pipeline and call on the governor and the president to stop construction. Twenty-six members of the national group 1000 Grandmothers for Future Generations, including five Lakota grandmothers, also organized a rally at the governor’s mansion in St. Paul.

“Our traditional responsibility as matriarchs requires us to go to Line 3 and visually show our support for the water protectors who are standing the line for Mother Earth,” said Lakota elder Madonna Thunder Hawk.
